this belongs to the ice queen, and she wears it in the summer. she saves the grander stuff for winter. 
a first attempt at making a necklace in this style, by using handmade figure 8 links. it doesn't sit very well on its own, so i'm working out how to tweak the design a little bit so it doesn't go all crooked.
i used moonstone, glass beads, aquamarine and swarovski crystals for this pretty thing.

can anybody recommend any particular brand of non tarnish silver (can be silver coloured or whatever) wire (28 gauge) that is hard? the one i used in this particular piece is rather soft and bends very easily.
